By Jay Rojas posted 10-31-2018 12:04

I’d like to invite you to be part of a research project that I’m conducting. This project is part of a requirement for my Master of Arts in Leadership at Royal Roads University. This project has been approved by the Leadership Educators Community of Practice (LECOP) of the Canadian Association of College and University Student Services (CACUSS). I'm also an active member of the LECOP Council and I’ve been given permission by LECOP Council to contact potential participants for this purpose. Please note that you are under no obligation to participate in this study and that a decision to participate or not will not affect your relationship with LECOP in any way.

The purpose of my research is to identify competencies of leadership education practitioners in Canada. This research seeks to identify the competencies required to be a successful leadership educator in Canadian student affairs and services.

There are two ways to participate in this research. The first will consist of a phone or an online interview and is estimated to last twenty (20) to thirty (30) minutes. Alternatively, you can attend a virtual focus group which will take place December 1, 2, 3, and 4 at 5:00pm EST. Only twenty (20) individuals will be able to participate in an interview or a virtual focus group, with a total of forty (40) participants. Individuals can choose to participate in one method.

Please see the attached Letter of Invitation and Information Letter documents for more information.
